Education Resources

From training the next generation of caregivers to applying innovations that are transforming health care, education is essential to driving a healthier future. Whether you are a student, new graduate, or experienced health care worker, we have opportunities to help you advance your career. Fairview provides a range of educational resources to employees including on-site classes and financial assistance for formally going back to school.

Ongoing Learning Opportunities

As Fairview and the health care industry rapidly change and innovate, we want to help you develop your skills. We offer free classes and webinars throughout the year on a variety of professional development and leadership topics.

Residencies and Internships

If you are just starting your career, we offer internships and residencies in a variety of settings. Each year, we welcome residents to participate in established rotations that offer an introduction to many facets of the health system — and to compassionate, patient-focused care. We want you to get the most out of your time with us and meet your professional goals.

Continued Medical Education

Physicians and other providers can continue to develop through educational activities that help maintain or increase the knowledge, skills, professional performance, and relationships they use to provide services for patients, the public, and the profession.

Help with education expenses

Fairview further supports your education and training goals by offering a variety of financial resources, including:
  • RN to BSN Apprenticeship: Fairview was awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor to fund apprenticeships, on-the-job training, and tuition support for nurses. RNs pursuing a four-year degree can apply for this assistance to advance their nursing careers.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: We offer tuition reimbursement to eligible employees pursuing a health care or business-related degree to help you enhance a current position or prepare you for a future position within Fairview. Courses must be through an accredited postsecondary institution.
  • Tuition Discounts: We offer tuition discounts in partnership with educational institutions in Minnesota, including Augsburg University, Bethel University, Capella University, Concordia University-St. Paul, Hamline University, Rasmussen College, St. Catherine University, College of St. Scholastica, and the University of St. Thomas.
